Usually the tour is  split into either west or east, but we managed to combine into one full day tour.

Essentially we circumnavigated the island and went to the highlights:
Diamond Beach which is a hell of a long walk down and not recommended if you have small children or bad legs in any way or or are unfit. It is very beautiful, and you can have a swim there. Although there is a quite strong surf conditions so it's not for timid swimmers.

We also went to  Klingking Cliff to see the views and that was quite good.
And we also went to Crystal Beach for a swim. Easy access.
The roads are poor, very bumpy, and the cars go very slowly. There's often queues at the hot spots. Our driver was very amenable and his car was a bit old and the stereo didn't work quite properly. But we were well looked after  and he was very pleasant and the car was clean. We had a drinks cooler in the back of the car.

We had a great experience with Bli Nyoman and his team in Nusa Penida. Everything was well organized, from the private car to our private snorkeling boat. Communication was excellent, everyone was friendly and professional, and the snorkeling trip was the highlight of our day.

For other visitors, just keep in mind that the roads on Nusa Penida are quite rough. If you're visiting mainly for the marine life, I'd highly recommend focusing on the snorkeling experience.

I booked 2-day, 1-night trip for two, Meta Tour organized the itinerary excellently. Our guide and driver, Bli Putra Adit—a native of Nusa Penida—was wonderful and friendly; the photos and videos he took turned out great. He was a skilled driver with perfect timing, and we felt completely comfortable with everything.

The hotel selected, Coconut Hills, was spacious and comfortable, and located close to the beach; there were plenty of dining options nearby for dinner while enjoying the sunset.

The lunch spot chosen was also quite good—Duma Restaurant was the highlight, with delicious food.

Beach entrance fees were separate from the package: Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach were IDR 45,000 per person, and the Tree House was IDR 25,000 per person (with an additional IDR 75,000 per person for the photo at the Tree House).

We paid an extra IDR 1.5 million for a private snorkeling session for two, and we were thoroughly satisfied. In addition to the dedicated snorkeling guide (Mas Riski), Bli Putra also assisted, meaning each of us had our own guide.

Many thanks to Meta Tour and Bli Putra Adit; next time, I’ll bring my extended family along! :)
